Challenge
Coming out of pandemic-era disruption, CoXist Studio wanted to give clients more ways to pay and bring invoicing in line with their own brand, rather than relying on a single, manual payment method.

Company: CoXist Studio
Added credit card, debit card, and eCheck options for clients
Cut invoice payment time in half after moving off a single, manual payment method
Added a branded payment button, email links, and a mobile card reader for in-person payments
Megan and Frank Lin left their careers in Los Angeles after a remodel of their own Austin home turned into a business, and CoXist Studio was born.
With contracts and billings in the industry starting to recover following a sharp decline due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CoXist saw an opportunity to adapt to a new economic landscape by signing up for ClientPay in 2020. Here, we’ll showcase some of the ClientPay features that have helped CoXist Studio improve their operations, upgrade the payment experience, and get paid faster.
CoXist Studio moved to 8am ClientPay, adding credit card, debit card, and eCheck options alongside a payment button on their site and a mobile card reader for in-person payments. The goal was simple: give each client a way to pay that matched how they already liked to do business, whether that meant clicking a link in an email, visiting the firm's website, or handing over a card in the office.
That flexibility meant CoXist Studio no longer had to ask every client to work around a single payment process. Instead, the invoicing itself could flex to fit the client, while still carrying the firm's own logo and branding instead of a generic-looking bill.
The shift showed up directly in how quickly invoices came back paid. "We are getting paid twice as fast as we were in the past," Megan says.
That speed comes down to how the money actually moves. A mailed check has to sit in transit, then get walked to a bank or scanned in before it counts as paid; an online invoice can be paid the moment a client opens it, with nothing left waiting on the postal service.
It’s a pattern 8am sees across firms that make the same switch: once paying is as easy as clicking a link, invoices move fast, with as many as 62% getting paid within 24 hours of being sent instead of sitting in a mail queue.
Megan credits the team behind the product as much as the product itself. Rather than routing questions through automated phone trees, CoXist Studio gets real answers from real people whenever something comes up.
"We cannot say enough good things about the customer support. All our questions have been quickly answered and they listen to our feedback about things that would make the process even easier," she says.
That responsiveness has carried over into how Megan talks about ClientPay with other firms.
For CoXist Studio, faster payments and a branded invoicing process freed up more time for the work that built the firm in the first place: thoughtful, human-inspired design. If your firm is still waiting on a single, generic way to get paid, schedule a demo today.
