The search for a new solution 

As White Davis & White Law Firm's administrative demands grew, Managing Partner Joy Davis needed a better way to manage the practice. The firm's existing case management software had become a source of daily frustration, making it difficult to capture billable time, work outside the office, and keep up with the firm's growing needs.

“It was the biggest nightmare,” Joy says. “Every time I’d go to open the program it would lag and shut down. It got to the point where I’d avoid recording my billable time and not get paid because it took so long to create a time entry.”

The performance issues affected more than the firm's day-to-day work. Lost time entries meant lost revenue, and the firm's software also lacked the flexibility attorneys needed to work outside the office.

"We lost substantial revenue because of [our previous software] and gave them over a year to correct the issue, but it never got any better," Joy says. "In addition to the performance issues we saw, it was not cloud-based or user friendly, so we clearly needed an upgrade."
